Liquorary Fall Cocktail Event at Red Barn Mercantile

The nip in the air means a little nip of something spicy to drink, wouldn’t you agree? Fall weather made an appearance this weekend and I relished it. For all the reasons we have come to expect, fall is my favorite season. This year, we are adding a new reason to love fall – cocktails. The kind you sip by the fire, enjoy after an epic leaf raking, or pair with pumpkin pie. Can’t you taste it now? This week we are excited to welcome cocktail enthusiast and vintage glassware collector Andrew Whitehead of Liquorary fame to Red Barn Mercantile. Kicking off a four-day fall cocktail event, Andrew will be hosting a cocktail demonstration and tasting tomorrow, Thursday, October 18 from 6-8pm.  (Space is limited so get your tickets ASAP!) Discover three new recipes and plenty of cocktail-making tips while imbibing and nibbling on a few tasty snacks from La Fromagerie. Also, get first dibs on Andrew’s vintage cocktail glassware before this weekend’s pop up shop.[nemus_slider id="53599"]Friday through Sunday you will be able to add to your bar cart and cocktail collection when you pick up some of Andrew’s favorite old-fashioned glassware at Red Barn Mercantile. (Catch the pun there? Wink. Wink.) From low balls to high balls, flutes to coups, the Liquorary collection has it all. You’re not going to want to miss this event! To give you a sneak preview of what’s to come, below is a recipe from Andrew’s Instagram feed. You can also catch a new cocktail concoction on his wife’s blog OhSoBeautifulPaper.com every Friday, so make an appointment for that as well.
