What Not to Bring on Spring Break!
With Spring Break right around the corner, here are my suggestions for what NOT to bring on your next trip!
1. Expired Toiletries. When was the last time you edited that collection of mini toiletries? As you're packing for your next trip is the perfect time to do just that! Don't overdo it, especially if you're staying in a hotel as there will be everything essential at your disposal.
2. Travel Hairdryers. Most hotels and rental properties will have these available for guests' use so keep those hairdryers at home!
3. Non-working chargers. Just like your toiletries, when was the last time you went through your chargers and cords? Don't pack nonessential and broken chargers - take a few minutes to go through them and only bring the essentials!
4. Items kids have outgrown. Traveling with babies and toddlers requires packing up plenty of extras. When your children get older, though, you can get by with less. If your child is in elementary school but you’re still holding onto that pack-and-play or travel potty, it’s probably safe to say goodbye!
5. Things you just don't use. It’s okay if you purchased a travel accessory with the best of intentions but never used it. However, that item doesn’t belong in your house! Give yourself permission to resell or donate these items and clear storage space in your home. To soften the blow a little, remember that belongings are only useful if they’re being used.
Remember, an organized home isn’t about perfection; it’s about creating space for joy, connection and magical moments. Not ready to take on these projects by yourself?
