A Note of Gratitude
Last Friday, we re-opened Boxwood's front doors for the first time since mid-March. We require masks and can only accommodate five customers at a time - but we're open and thriving. While we have no idea what will come down the road, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who made surviving the past few months possible. To our loyal customers, you know who you are. Thank you for ordering countless candles, tea towels, salad tongs, and litres of paint. And for being so very patient as we figured out how to fly the plane while we were building it.To our families, for understanding when we spent many late nights loading products on our e-commerce site or redesigning the front window. To our employees, for continuing to cheer us on even after we told them we couldn't guarantee their shifts. To Joanna, our USPS carrier, Dwayne, our FedEx driver, Mike, our UPS driver, and all the other people who worked tirelessly to deliver inventory and pick-up outgoing packages. You make our day every day.To our Alexandria Stylebook, Old Town Boutique District, and Scout Guide communities - for being such creative, inspiring local business leaders. And most of all, to the amazing health care workers and public health experts, you are our true heroes.Thank you.
