December is Coming: Pick Up Your Advent Calendars!

Once again, December is sneaking up on us! Hopefully you all were able to join in the fun at our Holiday Unveiling last week at Red Barn Mercantile, or you’ll stop in and see our winter wonderland (11 trees and so much more) soon. We are so delighted with the gifts and decorations we found this year and we hope you are, too!

With December on the horizon, we’d like to show you the Advent calendars we have this year! So many creative, fun, and tasty ways to countdown to Christmas. We have several options that all double as darling decorations and a few that have extra special surprises inside, some edible and some that will last for years to come.

First up, Penny Post! We don’t want to say we have a favorite, but a caramel countdown to Christmas is definitely in the running. Diamine’s Inkvent calendar is also a strong contender with 25 never-before-seen new colors from Diamine. The third and final option is a classic, perfect for kiddos. A great decoration with little windows that pop out to reveal surprise illustrations.

Red Barn Mercantile has a couple of great new options this year. If you, like us, love to puzzle, grab Michael Storrings’ 12 Days of Christmas Advent calendar puzzles. A set of 12 beautiful 80-piece puzzles for you to cruise through as frequently as you’d like. We also added a 12-day Advent calendar for doggos, filled with minty brushy sticks and flavored biscuits. And last but not least, a very cool Hey Clay Advent Calendar craft kit. Hey Clay is soft, lightweight, non-sticky, nontoxic, and stain-free (perfect for kiddos). This kit prompts kids to create one fun clay character for each day leading up to Christmas. Just open the door to reveal a bag of clay and a QR code to scan. The code will lead you to a video guide. Follow the guide to easily sculpt the character, then add the hook and string so you can hang it on your tree - or wherever! So cool.

The collection over at Pippin Toy Co. is as adorable as you’d expect. A gorgeous reusable Christmas tree wall hanging with little pockets for notes and treasures for littles has become a favorite. We also have some fun build-it-yourself pop and slot Advent calendars that can be reused year after year. If you know someone who loves stickers, the 12-day Kawaii Christmas Sticker Advent Calendar will be a hit. Each day will reveal a surprise Kawaii sticker sheet. And perhaps the most fun of all is the Plus Plus Advent Calendar. Each day reveals a new building project and instructions, letting children craft their own Christmas tale. Watch as a grand holiday scene unfolds, culminating in a special surprise on December 25! So much fun.

Whether you’re looking for a classic pop-out style countdown calendar or something with a little more flair, we have you covered! Happy shopping and happy, happy holidays to you and yours.
