Often Imitated, Never Duplicated
Sometimes I get a kick out of hearing your stories. I had a customer once tell me that her sister bought Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Ferulic and mixed them together to make her own CE Ferulic. Yes, that CE Ferulic. The Skinceuticals powerhouse, the gold standard in Vitamin C. I politely asked if her sister was a cosmetic chemist to which she replied she was not. Why is this important? In this post, I’m going to talk about why some of the most revered beauty products in the world are just not duplicatable (yes, that’s a word according to Merriam-Webster) no matter how many “dupes” are out there.
Skinceuticals CE Ferulic
Skinceuticals CE Ferulic is, and always will be, the Vitamin C serum everyone looks up to. It is what other Vitamin C serums hope to grow up to be. It is a proprietary and patented formulation developed by SkinCeuticals scientists in 2005. The trifecta of C, E, and Ferulic doubles the level of protection to four times the skin’s natural defense. Yes, it is a suit of armor for your skin. There. Are. No. Dupes.
Augustinus Bader
Dr. Augustinus Bader is a professor of applied stem cell biology and formulated The Cream and The Rich Cream with over 30 years of research. His first hydrogel using the patented TFC8® complex was first developed in 2007 and promotes skin regeneration allowing burn victims to forgo traditional skin grafts to repair burned skin. That being said, there are no dupes for Augustinus Bader products. You will find other great face creams, but you will not find anything like Bader (there’s probably a skinfluencer out there mouthing “challenge accepted” as you read this).
Oribe Texturizing Spray
Remember Anela’s article titled “If I had a dollar for every time someone asked for this product” and you know what that product was? The Oribe Texturizing Spray. Brenda, one of my best friends, is irritatingly picky. She also loves “big Texas hair” her motto being “the higher the hair, the closer to God”. She loved the Living Proof Full Volume Blast and when I suggested she try Oribe she flatly told me, “No.” Well, I bought her a travel size anyway and forced her to try it. Let’s just say she’s never been closer to God and is an avid user of Oribe.
