The ball has dropped, we’ve clinked glasses, and we’ve definitely bid adieu to 2021. We’re so excited to turn the page in our calendar books and focus on all the good things ahead including a year full of floral workshops.

For those of you who have been bit by the floral bug, we have dozens of new classes in the works as well as the return of some of our most popular workshops (ahem, peonies class!) Here’s a sampling of some of our upcoming spring classes:

January 12: Winter Protea

A perfect mix of winter and tropical blooms. We’ll design with gorgeous, washed out shades of blush, taupe, and white.

March 9: Ranunculus

Need we say more? It’s ranunculus season, and we’re taking full advantage.

April 6: Anemones

Everyone’s favorite spring flower! This year, we’ll be designing with gorgeous anemone from our favorite flower farmer, LynnVale Studios.

April 14: Easter Centerpiece.

The perfect addition to your holiday table and full of gorgeous pastel blooms.

May 25: Peonies

The most popular class of the year, and for good reason. Buckets brimming with gorgeous east coast peonies and tons of other beautiful blooms. Last year we had 200 attendees. Will we break records again this year?

June 22: Floral Glue

Ever wonder how we make those gorgeous floral cuffs or hair combs? We’ll break it down, step by step. Perfect for anyone crafty, DIYers, or budding designers.

Rachel Gang is the owner of Helen Olivia Flowers, a boutique flower and home décor shop, located in Del Ray, Alexandria. She developed her love for flowers while working as an event planner in the busy Washington, D.C. events industry. Along with her husband and team of designers at Helen Olivia, Rachel works with brides and corporate clients to create unique and captivating designs. Her work has been featured in Traditional Home Magazine, HGTV, Borrowed and Blue, and Style Me Pretty.

Helen Olivia is a boutique floral design studio located in the Del Ray neighborhood. Known for a lush and timeless style, the shop is a favorite among locals. Outside of beautiful flowers, Helen Olivia is a destination for house plants, decorative pottery, and an endless selection of stylish front door wreaths. The shop is also well known for its weekly floral design workshops -- come visit us and try your hand at flower arranging! Helen Olivia is owned by Chuck and Rachel Gang who are veterans of the bustling Washington, D.C., events industry. Both are D.C. natives, and reside in the Ft Hunt neighborhood of Alexandria with their son Jack.
