Catstudio Fundraiser for The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria

Being an Air Force brat meant I went to two high schools – Chaparral High School in Las Vegas, NV (Go Cowboys!) for the first two years and then graduated from Hampton High School in Hampton, VA (You can’t crush a crab!) Being an Air Force brat also means you don’t have an affinity for any one state. Except maybe the one where your parents are from. For us, that’s Oklahoma. When it was time to apply to college all my friends were going to Virginia schools and I wanted to be different. So, I applied to exactly one school, The University of Oklahoma. I wanted the big university experience with a renowned sports program, and this fit the bill. Even though I freaked out and was applying to Virginia schools as early as Winter break, I stuck with it and had a wonderful experience. If you are as fortunate as I was to go to college, then you know how meaningful that time is. There is nothing like it. To celebrate your graduate and help them usher in the next phase of adulthood – be it a newly minted college Freshman or a new-to-the-job-market professional – we are holding a limited time virtual Catstudio Trunk Show starting today. Unfortunately, we cannot discount Catstudio products per our vendor agreement, but what we can do is drop ship one of Catstudio’s Collegiate Collection pillows to any graduate in the country for free.  In addition to that, we will be giving $20 for each regular sized pillow sold to The Scholarship Fund for Alexandria. A college education is a privilege that not everyone can afford, but so many deserve. That’s why we want to support the work of this amazing organization. Not only do they give $1,000,000 in scholarships annually, they help students find the right school, apply to that school, and procure additional funding. This year The Scholarship Fund had to cancel their annual gala leaving them in need of other sources of funding. (Though they are holding an online auction!). We are here to do our little part when you purchase one of these fantastic pillows. What better way to honor your high school or higher education graduates than by paying it forward to someone in need. To that end, congratulations to the class of 2020!  PS: They make great Father’s Day gifts too! My husband, whom I met in college, has an OU pillow in his office. Boomer Sooner!  PPS: If you don’t see your school that’s because they don’t have it licensed yet and therefore can’t make it. Let us know if there is one you’re looking for and we will let you know when it’s available.
