Classic Blue by Penny Post
As Amy mentioned last week, the Pantone Color Institute has announced that its 2020 Color of the Year is PANTONE 19-4052 (aka Classic Blue), a deep blue shade that's at once comforting and relatable. We are completely on board with this choice as we just so happen to be very pro-blue around here. To celebrate the return of Classic Blue, we’ve collaged an assortment of our favorite things that just so happen to be members of the blue family. We are firm believers that our surroundings impact our insides. The color of your walls or the accessories on your desk can all affect your mood. Blue hues have a reputation of fostering productivity and calmness, which we are huge advocates for. We are also into humor and irony, so you may find that everything on our list doesn’t necessarily instill a sense of calm (e.g., that keytag). But for the most part, these items will keep you organized, keep you cheerfully dry in the rain, and/or provide a therapeutic outlet of some sort, whether it be through writing notes or putting together a puzzle. How are you incorporating Classic Blue into your new year? (Stapler, $30; Idlewild Co. Vote Stickers, $9; Panic Room Key tag, $15; Toolbox, $125; Gradient Puzzle, $27; Le Pen, $2.50; Iroshizuku Ink, $28; Duck Umbrella, $35; Science Matters Enamel Pin, $12.50; Sunprint Notecards, $15.95; Caran d'Ache Fountain Pen, $72.)
