Fall in Love with Fall Tones
As we near the end another unbearably hot summer, fall always sounds enticing with its cooler and crisper days. Before you know it, you’ll be swapping out sarongs with sweaters and sun-kissed highlights for more seasonally appropriate shades. Fall is the time to be bolder and more daring with your hair color.Brown tones that project jewel colors like plums, reds, and darker pinks will be all the rage when the weather finally starts to cool down. Deep reddish browns like chestnut and cinnamon are on-trend season after season, and for good reason. They adds warmth, complement most skin tones, and they're also versatile as an ombré accent on a darker base.Honey tones are great for blondes and brunettes alike. I think it will continue this fall with a slightly darker/warmer tones, which adds more depth to washed-out blondes that have seen too much sun or environmental damage. This slightly warmer tone is a solid option for blondes who don’t want to go full brunette, but feel like updating their look.Strawberry is great tone for both blondes and redheads. If you're on the darker spectrum of blonde, well-blended highlights of tawny auburn are an alternative to create more dimension. If you're already in the gingery spectrum, buttery highlights are a great option for a bit of depth. For those who like a deeper, brighter red, a bright copper tone is a vibrant and bolder option. Cool copper tones draw attention to the eyes and work particularly well against warm skin tones. If you’re feeling bolder, then take the plunge and go straight to an orange tone. We’ve seen the very pale all-over blonde color this summer and I don’t think that will let up anytime soon. Nirvana blondes might go a bit darker and softer, but it will still smell like teen spirit come fall.
