The Five Biggest Spring Beauty Trends (and How To Wear Them in Real Life)

We’ve picked the spring beauty trends we think are the prettiest and easiest to incorporate into real life. Here are trends are the ones you’ll see over and over, along with tips on how to wear them.

Monochromatic Makeup

We love this trend for the fresh new feel of it as well as the fact that it takes all the guess work out of what to wear in the morning. Pick a color and use it all over. We suggest using a matte lipstick to try this trend out the first time. Rub the color in to your lips and follow with a clear gloss. Dab a few touches of it on your cheeks and blend with a beauty blender. Next take a cream shadow brush and run it across the lipstick. Sweep the color onto the eyelid and blend out. Then take slightly more and blend it into the outer corner of the eye. Sweep a translucent powder over the eye to set the color and keep it from creasing.

Dewy Skin

This trend is here to stay. Try mixing a drop or two of a luminizing oil with your foundation. We like Maya Chia the Highlight of the Hour.

Glossy Makeup

This trend can be as high-shine or toned down as you like, but the look feels very spring appropriate. Pair this look with a bright, monochromatic outfit to let the bold color take stage and the glossy makeup to reflect the color.

Bronzed, Golden Glow

We love a golden goddess look. Metallic sheens in gold and bronze look good on every skin tone. Try Kevyn Aucoin’s Nude Pop Shadow Palette and pair with Jouer’s Highlighter in Tan Lines for a sun-kissed effect.

It’s time to put away the nude lipstick and pull out the hot pink and coral. If the fall was all about red lipstick, the spring is all about bold, bright colors. Have some fun, be daring…it’s just lipstick! We like Nouba Millebaci #15.
