Shop, Dine, and Give During Good. Works. Alexandria
Right now, we all need a win. Something to feel good about. Something to get excited for. That’s why Old Town Business Association has partnered with ACT for Alexandria to bring you the first ever Good. Works. Alexandria, Alexandria’s first citywide small business day of giving. Businesses all across the city will be donating a portion of your purchase to the local Alexandria charity of your choice. You shop and dine, and we give.Here is how it works: On May 27, shop online (or call in your order) with our boutiques, order take out for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, cocktails, you name it from our restaurants, and engage our service providers. When you do, tell them to what charity you want your donation to go. (At Red Barn Mercantile and Penny Post add it to the notes section when you check out.) Then we give the funds raised to that cause, they continue to do their critical work, and you get the warm feeling that you have supported the small business and nonprofit communities. That’s a win, win, win triple threat!Right now, more than ever, our community needs us. As business owners this is the best way we know how to help, but we can’t do it without you.
