Keep Your Locks Looking Gorgeous this Winter
We are finally back to weather that allows our hair to live its best life!Whether you have thick or fine hair, the heat and humidity of summer will often leave you with either frizzy or flat hair, neither of which is ideal. However, colder weather comes with its own set of challenges including keeping your locks adequately moisturized. Today we'll go over how to keep your hair hydrated and we'll touch on a few trending looks for this season and how to enhance your everyday look. The first rule of thumb for the winter months is keeping a really good moisturizing conditioner on standby. This needs to be a mainstay in your shower, especially if your hair has been colored or highlighted. The trick to using conditioner on fine hair is to use just a small amount on the ends of your hair and rinse it out thoroughly. Keep the conditioner off of the scalp and focus mainly on the mid shaft and ends of the hair. Now let's talk about some new looks for the season. The internet is raving about the blunt bob. It can be many lengths (one common misunderstanding most people have about bobs is they think chin length). The beauty of the bob is that it can be different depending on your preference. Another fun trend that has made a comeback this fall is the amazing headband. This probably reminds most of us of high school, but it has been hitting runways and is making its way back into everyday looks. It’s also great for days when you have bed head and don’t feel like pulling out the blow dryer...just throw your hair into a low ponytail or bun, pull some pieces out in the front, and throw on your headband! Last but not least the top knot has made its way back on the scene and can be more than just a look for the gym. It actually can be suitable for the office or a night out. Just grab your paddle brush, some hair spray and throw your hair in a nice top knot bun. If you have any trouble with it, ask your stylist for advice.
