Valentine’s Day Brings Flowers at Warp Speed

I can tell Valentine’s week is fast approaching by many metrics, but also because my Stylebook article is absurdly late.  It’s the time of year for a florist when things move at warp speed, decision fatigue settles in, and you hold on for dear life! As I write this from my desk chair I can see a studio helper repetitively breaking sheets of plastic card holders into hundreds of individual units. It’s a sign of the crazy to come. Despite it being an exhausting week ahead for team Helen Olivia, we’re excited to share some of the new things in the works for this holiday:

The Flowers

If you guessed red roses—you were right! Lots and lots of red roses will be filling the studio, but not exclusively. This year, we have a lineup of beautiful color palettes that include soft blush, jewel tones, and classic reds. We’re also bringing back two crowd favorites: our signature tulip hand tied bouquets and our sweet pea arrangement. The collection is live on our website, and ready for shopping.

The Plants

An avalanche of succulents and orchids have rolled into the studio, and we’re immersed in potting and styling.  Our buying trip in January has brought us all sorts of new bowls and pots for the holiday.

Workshops

We’re excited to roll out two on theme workshops this month.  While our Galentine’s Day workshop sold out in record time, we do still have space in our Date Night Workshop which is a perfect pre-dinner date night activity for you and your spouse.  The plus side? Your guy will be in great company with other plus ones, and we’ll be serving chilled beer and pretzels for our newcomers.

Walk-In Studio Hours

Late to the party? We’ve got you (or your spouse) covered. Pop in Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday for pre-made arrangements, bouquets, and yes, even those darling mini arrangements for your daughters that we all love.

If you have any questions, reach out to us, Helen Olivia Floral Design can help you find something beautiful!
