Is Green The New Blue?

If you haven't noticed, green is having a major moment! Not only is green the color of spring, but it's also a beautiful color for your home. With St. Patrick's Day being the ultimate reminder to pull out our greens, we're reminded how much we love this color. From calm sage to deep forest, green just might be able to give blue and gray a run for their money!

Sherwin Williams chose Evergreen Fog as their 2022 Color of the Year. In Paige's home, it was the perfect color for her mudroom built-ins. Something about walking into a mudroom, kicking off your shoes, and being greeted by such a calming color just makes sense.

Green can be glam, too! Here's a peek into Melissa's recently re-designed living room: a blue-green wall color and emerald couch bring a dramatic flair to the space. We love how the golden fixtures and accents shine against the darker hues of green and deep-sea blue.

Even as just a pop of color, this green lacquered door on our listing at 306 Mansion Drive adds a sweet touch of before entering this light-filled home.

Color trends can come and go, but colors like blues and greens are timeless. They remind us of nature and bring a sense of familiarity and comfort. Green is often associated with healing, hope, optimism, and harmony. So it's not a surprise that we are turning towards colors that bring serenity after these past few years of stress. Although gray will most likely continue to be a staple in our rotation, we're sure to see green incorporated in home design trends and color choices this year. Let's not let St. Patrick's Day be the only time we appreciate this color - are you ready to bring a little green into your home?
