Jillian Dempsey Makeup, Now At Bellacara!

I have long been a fan of legendary makeup artist Jillian Dempsey. Dempsey learned her craft in Paris and London before relocating to Los Angeles to try her hand as a key artist on films, television, and music videos. An A-list client roster quickly ensued, all while Jillian built an impressive editorial portfolio, shooting for some of the most highly regarded beauty and fashion magazines in the world.A true artist, Jillian has created two highly respected independent makeup collections. Delux Beauty, her first makeup brand, was an industry favorite that simplified blending and application by abandoning tools and encouraging users to trust their own hands. I actually carried the brand some 15 plus years ago and was crushed when she elected to shut it down to pursue other ventures.

When I was contacted by the company’s representatives about potentially carrying the line, I jumped at the opportunity. Jillian’s items are never fussy. Her products contain organic, naturally derived ingredients that are vegan and cruelty-free. She is committed to filling a genuine need and not further cluttering an already abundant market. The Jillian Dempsey line is sophisticated, tightly edited, high-performance, and effortless. Six years in, Dempsey’s makeup collection includes just five “finger-friendly” products - Lid Tints, Cheek Tints, Khôl Eyeliner, a Mini Fan Brush, and a Makeup Bag. Oh, and of course, there’s also her iconic and lusted-after Gold Sculpting Bar, a game-changing skin-care tool made of 24K gold that she developed in Japan to tone and lift the face with the assistance of 6,000 vibrations a minute.

I am so excited to be able to offer this beautiful line at Bellacara! I think you’ll love it as much as I do.

Angela Sitilides

I have been a beauty junkie for what seems like forever, but before I did anything about it, I went to law school. (Yes, my life is a little like the reverse of Legally Blonde.) Then, I worked as a prosecutor in Sonoma County after which I moved to the DC area with my husband in '97. I served as Majority Counsel to the Senate Banking Committee followed by a year-long stint at a lobbying firm. You get the picture.

It was then that I decided to act on my dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Finding my favorite beauty products proved to be impossible without stepping foot in a mall--the horror. So, I decided to bring my favorites to Alexandria. A few trips to New York and a flight to France and Bellacara was born in March 2000.
