End of Summer Wrap-Up and a Look Ahead to Fall!
As summer winds down, the season of transitions is in full swing for our family! This week marked some big milestones as we sent our oldest off to Virginia Tech for her first year, while our middle started high school, and our youngest began middle school. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster as we navigate this new chapter, but we’re grateful everyone had a smooth start.
Here at KTI, the summer months usually bring a slower pace, but this year has been bustling with activity. We’ve been busy sourcing materials, refining designs, and finalizing plans. Now, we’re excited to move many of these projects into the construction phase while also taking on new design challenges. Stay tuned as we share some beautiful projects with returning clients in the coming weeks.
Fall is an exciting time in the design world, especially as homeowners begin thinking about holiday gatherings and larger projects. This season, we’re gearing up for even more growth by welcoming a Project Manager, Operations Manager, and a Design Assistant to our team and I can’t wait to introduce them soon. With these additions, we’ll be able to stay organized and continue delivering beautiful, functional, and custom spaces across Alexandria. As we wrap up summer, I hope you find inspiration to carry you into the fall season. I’ve included a few snapshots from our back-to-school week, including some dorm room photos I’m thrilled to share. Our daughter Lilly took charge of designing her own space and did an amazing job! Dorm room design has really taken off in recent years, and while it can sometimes get a bit extravagant, a few thoughtful touches can make a huge difference. Lilly’s rechargeable sconce lights add a cozy glow, and her Nespresso-powered coffee cart is both stylish and practical—perfect for late-night study sessions!
