Line Spotlight: Oribe Professional Hair Care Products For Volume
Back in November, I caught COVID for the second time. Much more aggressive than my first bout, I was pretty much bedridden for 12 days. I could not eat, so my nutrient levels took a nosedive. As I recovered, I realized I was losing my hair. I have never had the thickest hair, but I always had a lot of hair. I have struggled with alopecia since I was a pre-teen, and along with a couple of bald spots, I lost at least half of my hair volume. This was devastating to my self-esteem. I am like Samson when it comes to my hair. Crystal Gayle is my #hairgoals. Watching it come out in clumps was panic-inducing, and once I realized my mineral deficit, it was too late. Now that I am back taking my Sugar Bear Hair Supplements (available in-store) and my hair is growing back, the process looks to be a few years in the making to get back to where I was. Oribe Thickening Shampoo for Magnificent Volume: This shampoo contains body-building polymers that wash in uplifting volume and thickness without leaving hair feeling stiff and course. I let the shampoo sit on my hair for five minutes instead of immediately rinsing it out. It makes a huge difference.
Oribe Thickening Conditioner for Magnificent Volume: This conditioner is a gel-cream hybrid that provides uplifting support and conditions hair to make combing and styling easier. It is not heavy, unlike many conditioners that can weigh hair down.
Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray: After the shower, I wrap my hair in my Kitsch Microfiber Hair Towel while I apply my skincare and then mist this thickening spray on my damp hair. This spray exaggerates thickness while providing long-lasting thermal and UV protection. After spraying evenly in my hair, I use my Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer Brush (no, we do not sell this, but my obsession with this tool grows each time I use it), lifting as I dry. After, I take my wand and curl sections, and I really feel like this spray infuses each strand with thickness and makes my hair look full.
Oribe Thick Dry Finishing Spray: Last but not least, the Oribe Thick Dry Finishing Spray. This spray adds the density and hold to dry hair like a hairspray (I immensely dislike hairspray and love this), but without the sticky residue. It also adds shine with lightweight moisturizers and some added UV protection because you can never have enough - especially if you have color-treated hair.
