Finding My Routine
by Danielle Romanetti of fibre space
When I hit forty, I realized that I really needed to start paying attention to my daily cleansing and moisturizing routine. I stopped into Bellacara for some help and to try out a few products. I am always looking for clean cosmetics, so their team pointed me to Indie Lee and Maya Chia. I had assumed my skin was oily because it had been two decades ago, but their team pointed out that now, it was dry. I had been using products for the skin I had in my twenties! I tested a few products and settled on the following routine.
Morning:
Quick wash with Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser, followed by their Superfruit Facial Cream mixed with Coola Full Spectrum Sunsilk Drops for sun protection. I also mix in Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer, which is a small, tiny pot of super thick foundation that you can mix into your face moisturizer for a bit of tint and coverage. I love this product because I can use a lot for photoshoots or tv appearances or just a little to even out my skin tone.

Evening:
I start with Maya Chia Nourishing Supercritical Cleansing Oil. This oil cleanser smells amazing and also removes eye makeup better than anything I’ve ever used. I massage it all over my face and eyes, making sure to get all of the makeup off before putting a little water into my hands and rubbing that in as well. The mix of oil and water pulls all of the dirt and grime out of your pores. I then use Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser and water. To moisturize my face, I spray Maya Chia The Optimist Hydrating Brightening Essence all over my face. My next step is to apply a serum. I chose the Maya Chia Superblend Pressed Serum Concentrate. Unlike other serums, it is not a liquid but a thick balm that melts in your hands and really provides amazing moisture and nutrients to the skin. I follow this with the Indie Lee Superfruit moisturizer. When I wake up in the AM, my face is bright and glowing and ready for makeup!
