Not Your Grandmother’s Shower Cap

A few weeks ago I had a customer request a shower cap. She was shocked when I said we didn’t have any. I had never used one regularly. I had some in store about a year ago, but they weren’t that amazing and no one requested them when they sold out. They didn’t really keep my hair on the back of my head from getting wet and they weren’t tight enough to keep the water away from my hairline when I washed my face. Good riddance, I thought…who uses those these days anyway? Then I had the best blowout of my life and I thought, "I wish I had a shower cap."The search ensued. A shower cap that was stylish was essential. If I was going to sell much less wear a shower cap, it had better work flawlessly and be damn good looking. So I searched and searched and found Shhhowercap. A week later I had one and I was in love. The cute style meant I could wear it all the time, which is great because it turned out it wasn’t just helpful in protecting my blowout in the shower. It had far more uses. The first of which is the deep treatment I (and probably you) don’t do often enough. Wash your hair, get out of the shower, apply a deep treatment to your hair, twist up and cover with the cap. The heat from your head creates the perfect enclosed environment for your product to really penetrate the hair cuticle. It’s far more comfortable and effective than a towel twisted on top of your head.Second, I now use it at night when I wash my face. No more wet hairline, no more ponytail holder and headband needed. Simply sweep up into the cap and wash.Third, try sleeping in it. Twist your hair up into the cap and sleep. No more crazy hair when you wake up.Lastly, you’re likely to have less breakage. Less washing, combing, drying, and stylings means less breakage and that means healthier, stronger hair.I am a convert. As a result, I have ordered a bunch of the cutest styles to arrive in store soon. Call to pre-order your style. You won’t regret having one in your beauty arsenal.[nemus_slider id="47183"]
