Oh, Bellacara (Well Actually, Old Town As A Whole), How I Missed You!
I returned to Bellacara last week and surprised our fearless leader, Celthia. She blinked and adjusted her glasses to make sure it was me while I twirled around the store, trying to absorb as much ambiance as I could. After some hugs, tears, and cuddles with Lala, I wandered around, checking out what was new with my favorite store.
I picked up right where I left off and helped one of our customers find a hydrating serum to use post-face mist and dry shampoo for her oily roots that would make her hair feel clean. It was like riding a bike. I think I was meant to work in skincare; I just love sharing my obsession with others. It's a very rewarding experience!
When hunger struck, I moseyed up to King Street Cafe for their uber-delicious Chipotle Chicken Club and then continued to Misha's for a London Fog with Lavender. The crack cookies were not in stock that day which made me sad. It felt great being back in Old Town. No matter what time of day, it seems to just always be so alive.
As my fellow Old Town retail workers will probably agree, it is challenging to work here sometimes. The traffic can be hectic, the parking non-existent, and sometimes we get a bad-weather day - but overall, the experience is so gratifying. I have met some of the most incredible people that have shopped at Bellacara, and I am always so grateful for the relationships I have built doing what I love. I was only in the store for a few hours but hope to be back very soon for another visit and hopefully work a full day. I'll announce myself next time, so hopefully, my favorite customers can pop in and give me a hug!
Stay tuned to Stylebook in the coming weeks when I talk about my favorite new products that I discovered. Ooh, LaLa (pun intended). Until then, my beauties, much love and blessings to all!
