Good, Old-Fashion Fun at the Old Town Carnival
I love collaborating with my fellow retailers and business owners. This winter when we were brainstorming new ways to work together, we stumbled upon the most fun idea ever – a carnival! Elizabeth waxed poetic about county fairs in her post yesterday and it made me think of fishing for prizes at school carnivals and funhouses and skeeball at Bells Amusement Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma (may it RIP).We all have fond childhood memories of ring tosses, fortune tellers with crystal balls, face painting, and Ferris wheels. If you’d like to relive some of those with your family or your friends or both, then join us on Saturday from 11am to 5pm for the first-ever Old Town Carnival.
Though roller coasters and bumper cars are not on the menu, carnival fun and games are as we celebrate the warm temps with fourteen of Old Town’s finest boutiques. Pick up your carnival ticket in any of the participating stores (or register online and we will email you one), then bring it into each store and take your chance to win prizes on good old-fashioned carnival games. Get your ticket punched from all 14 stores and be entered to win the grand prize of a $100 gift card from each store, that's a $1,400 prize! This is definitely fun for young and old alike!At Red Barn Mercantile we will be knocking down milk bottles and at Penny Post try your luck at getting a ping pong ball in a fish bowl. It’s not hard and everyone is a winner! We look forward to seeing you Saturday!!
