Pacers + Red Barn Mercantile Holiday Pop Up

This holiday season one of the biggest hurdles we will face is social distancing within the stores. How do we accommodate all the holiday shoppers while staying socially distant? Folks will have to wait while others shop, but how do we keep people engaged enough that they don’t leave and not come back? At Penny Post we can only have eight people in the store at a time, and at Red Barn we can only accommodate 12. So, what do we do? Well, back in September I was meeting with the owners of Threadleaf, Pacers, Stitch Sew Shop, and fibre space to figure out how we can partner to keep folks from abandoning our stores. While we were brainstorming, Kathy Dalby from Pacers mentioned they have a second space that is just sitting there, and they would love to partner with someone to make it fun and lively. With a store full of trees and holiday gifts, we jumped at the chance to spread out. We could really use the extra room! So, I am excited to announce the Pacers + Red Barn Mercantile Holiday Pop Up located at 1303 King St. It’s designed for dashing in and dashing out (pun intended) to get just the perfect gift from both of our stores. If you need apparel or a Pacers gift card, we’ve got ‘em. If you need a quick gift for someone special, then we have that too. In fact, we have some things you won’t find at our flagship store, so it’s definitely worth the visit.  We are super excited to bring you four new lines: Los Poblanos Lavender, Stone Hollow Farmstead, Dick Taylor Chocolates, and Mayron’s Goods (which is on its way). Oh, and for all you runners and sports enthusiasts, we have added one more tree to the mix! Check out a few of these fun things you’ll find when you stop in our Holiday Pop Up.  Starting this weekend, the Pop Up will be open every weekend, Friday -  Sunday, now through Christmas. And, to get those last-minute gift cards and treats, we will be open Plaid Friday and the entire week leading up to Christmas. I hope you’ll run in (get it!) and grab a few goodies to make your holidays extra special this year!
