Patina’s Picks: Five Must-Have Christmas Gifts

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to find gifts for yourself when shopping during the holidays? Maybe it’s because we actually take the time to really look and explore what is available, or maybe we are in the giving spirit and realize it’s okay to treat ourselves! As moms and parents, our Christmas can be heavy on gifts made out of popsicle sticks and noodles, which I loved receiving. Although, through the years, the mice have had their way with the noodles! Sometimes, you just want to give and receive something that's really beautiful. To that end, Patina has made a wish list for you!

Angels: The Collector’s Edition includes the largest collection of stories and fine art images to date. It comes packaged in an artful Lucite sleeve.

The Antica Farmacista Crystal Diffuser is the epitome of modern elegance. Fill it with your favorite fragrance from their line.

Backgammon, anyone? The game is even more fun on this matte ebony board. Notice the cutouts for the pieces!

Royal Extract Bath Gel in a Honey Pot – the Waldorf Astoria, in Los Cabos, has one in every room! We are much closer than Los Cabos, and you can even check out the entire line.

Passoti Umbrellas are a must have. We don’t have any snow yet, but lots of rain. Be prepared in style.

Patina Polished Living was created 10 years ago by friends Amanda Mertins and Kimberly Weiler.

Amanda Mertins was born in Ohio and graduated the University of Maryland with a degree in Economics. She started moving and editing furniture and accessories while in grade school and hasn’t stopped since. She enjoys baking desserts and playing with her grandchildren.

Kim Weiler was born in Pennsylvania and graduated the University of the Arts with a degree in graphic design. Upon graduating, she was immediately hired by one of her professors at the Katz Wheeler Design firm. She loves design, gardening, sweet tea and all French bulldogs.

Amanda and Kim are excellent complements to one another-one could even say the Yin and Yang of design. Being very different people but with interconnected forces is the reason their partnership continues to flourish.
