Rae Morris Makeup Brushes

Every once in awhile I come across a product that I can’t stop thinking about. Usually, it’s the ones that are a bit on the expensive side. Not because it’s expensive, but because I passed on it because it was expensive. Sometimes, I move on after awhile and completely forget about it. Other times, I think about it constantly.I see so many different products that something has to grab me in order for me to bring it on. Over the years, the bar has gotten higher and higher. It must perform. It must be something I use in its entirety or frequently. It must be beautiful or so amazing that I don’t care if it isn’t. These are high hurdles for a product to leap. The ones that leap the hurdle and still don’t make it to store are the ones I love, but I am not sure you’ll love. I’m not sure you’ll see what I see. The past year I trusted my gut. I brought on Westman Atelier and you loved it. I brought on Zelens Skincare and you loved it. I brought on Rodin Olio Lusso and you loved it. It’s rewarding when you see what I see.  I’m hoping you see what I see again in Rae Morris. Rae Morris is a renowned makeup artist from Australia. She is also renowned for her amazing line of makeup brushes. Handcrafted by Japanese artisans, these brushes are designed to make you the artist. Rae believes that a properly crafted brush should make application foolproof. The exact amount of product will be picked up, the exact amount of product will be applied, and the application will be flawless. As an artist, having her brushes handy was of utmost importance. Piling them up on the counter meant rifling through them when she needed a specific brush. If they could only stand up so she could immediately see the brush she needed, it would make her job so much easier. Then it hit her, they could stand up.Enter the Rae plate. Each Rae Morris brush has a magnetic bottom on the handle. This handle sits on the magnetic base…the Rae plate. The Rae plate allows you to see all your brushes. It keeps the bristles in pristine form because they aren’t laying against other brushes in a drawer or leaning against them in a cup. They have their own space. They also remain more hygienic as they aren’t picking up dirt from surfaces they would ordinarily lay on. It was a revolutionary concept. Of course, in the years since there have been cheap copies with poor quality brushes. Hers is the only one of its caliber on the market today.Of course, it isn’t cheap. But for what you get, it isn’t exactly expensive either. A set is $450. Ouch, except that set consists of the Rae plate and ten handcrafted brushes. All cruelty free, natural-hair brushes with cherry wood handles. That comes to a mere $45 a brush and the plate is a bonus. The brushes are all you’ll need for whatever look you’re trying to achieve. They’ll last a lifetime and you’ll never have to dig around to find the brush you need ever again. For me the idea that I never have to lay one of my brushes on a hotel counter again is all I need to know, but my OCD issues aside, I can’t wait to take them home. It’s a game changer. I hope you see what I see here. I think if you take a look, you will.
