Salon Meraki: Safe And Relaxing

When did you return to the salon after the pandemic? Do you remember the excitement of getting pampered after a long-awaited return? Since the opening of our newest location at 1101 Queen Street, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting many new customers at Meraki, many of whom have only recently returned to regular post-pandemic salon visits. With every new client we welcome, I’ve loved sharing our heart and passion for our services with more of the Alexandria community daily.

Last week, I met a new client who came to us for her first manicure and pedicure since before the pandemic! She had painted her nails at home and finally felt ready to return to a salon. I’m so glad she came to us for her first experience back in person in the salon. We were thrilled to welcome her and introduce her to all our Meraki services and, of course, share with her the steps we take to ensure we have a safe and fun environment to enjoy.

A salon experience should be an oasis and escape from your worries – even just for an afternoon. Our safety procedures have not changed much since the pandemic; we keep our shop clean and organized to create a safe and comfortable space for all. For those who may be hesitant to return to a salon, I want to give you my personal assurances that we continue to keep the safety of our guests and staff at the forefront of everything we do:

  • Upon arrival, guests are asked to thoroughly wash and dry their hands in one of our sanitized restrooms.

  • We ensure all our stations and staff sanitize throughout each appointment and throughout the day.

  • Masks are optional, and should you feel more comfortable, your service provider is happy to wear one during your service.

  • We have professional cleaning crews for each location.

  • Additionally, we installed a new air purifier system throughout the salons, giving us the cleanest air possible.

Of course, I am always available to answer questions about our safety procedures. I know how important your time is, and I am so grateful you choose Salon Meraki. If you haven’t visited us yet, let us book your next appointment for an experience that is both safe and relaxing!

I have been in the nail industry for over 25 years, always working for someone else. After being in Del Ray for four years, I decided to venture out on my own. Salon Meraki was launched on November 1, 2017 and with the overwhelming support from the community, our second location opened shortly after, in May, 2018. And after four years, our Queen Street location was recently expanded to three times its original size. At Salon Meraki, we strive to provide the best service while maintaining that cozy and sophisticated atmosphere. We want to bring a well curated space where you can get pampered and relaxed in your space.
