Spring2ACTion + Red Barn Mercantile + Penny Post + You

You all have seen the news, so I don’t need to remind you that our community is hurting. There are people right here in Alexandria that need our help right now. Stimulus packages move the needle but there is still more to do. That is why we are once again participating in Spring2ACTion, Alexandria’s annual day of giving. This year, we are sponsoring four $500 prizes – two from Red Barn Mercantile and two from Penny Post – as well as donating 20% of your sale to the cause of your choice. On April 15th Red Barn Mercantile and Penny Post will give $500 to the charity that receives the most online designations for Penny Post and $500 to the charity that receives the most online designations for Red Barn Mercantile. We will also give a $500 prize to the organization who raises the most dollars through Red Barn Mercantile designations and $500 to the organization who raises the most dollars through Penny Post designations. To do that, every time you give to your non-profit simply designate Red Barn Mercantile or Penny Post. There will be a drop-down menu at checkout to make it easy. The prize money will be paid out online just after 10pm and will go toward your favorite cause’s Spring2ACTion totals. Which should help them raise additional prize money. In addition to these prizes, we will be making donations of 20% of all your purchases that day. While our doors are closed to the general public, we are still operating online at redbarnmercantile.com and shoppennypost.com – and will take phone and Instagram orders as well. All you need to do is fill in the notes section with your organization’s name upon checkout. It’s as simple as that! These donations will be made online just after 10pm too. By shopping with us on April 15 you will be helping your community as well as us.Last year, Alexandrians and their friends and family donated more than $2 million during Spring2ACTion. This works best when we spread the word far and wide. By doing so we will increase the support to the nonprofits that are doing the heavy lifting right now. Never before have we needed the level of fundraising that we do now so shout your support for your cause as loudly as you can. We know how much you love this community and we are eternally grateful for your support!
