St. Patrick’s Glam Meets The Irish Countryside

We blinked and somehow, it’s March, again. For us, the arrival of March marks a complete calendar year since the flash and glamour of big events. In honor of the anniversary, we thought we’d share a glimpse into the last event we worked on before the pandemic brought the events industry to a screeching halt. Since it’s an over-the-top St. Patrick’s Day bash, it seems fitting for this time of year.If you were to ask me what I miss most about my pre-pandemic life, the answer is simple: I miss the dazzle of big events. There’s something magical about watching blank white walls transform, and in this case, into the Irish countryside for a whimsical St. Patrick’s Day bash for the top event firms in the city.Among our favorite floral feats were towering six-foot tree centerpieces and whimsical glass cloche centerpieces for the tables. Butterflies, moss, and bright spring flowers were elements carried throughout the event. One of our biggest undertakings to date was pulling off a live floral jewelry station for over a hundred guests. The most popular? Trendy rings made of brightly colored ranunculus!  Other highlights of the event included live Irish dancers, a DJ, baby sheep, and a beautiful menu of Irish fare-- with a beautiful modern spin.  It wouldn’t feel right to share such a beautiful event without also mentioning the extreme hardship so many in our industry are facing. If you’re interested in learning more about how Covid has leveled the billion-dollar events industry, I’d encourage you to check out https://www.saveliveeventsnow.com.Oh, and there’s no way we could have pulled off something so cool without a killer team! It was an honor teaming up with our incredibly talented industry friends who we love so much:A/V: AVLD EventsCalligraphy: Meant to Be CalligraphyCatering and Planning: Ridgewells CateringCocktails: Cocktail Curations Decor: Design FoundryFlorals: Helen Olivia Floral DesignMusic: Bialek’s MusicPaper: Saima Says DesignPhotography: Simo Ahmadi, Photography by SimoPortrait Salon: Love Life ImagesRentals: Nuage DesignsPerfect SettingsSomething VintageTable MannersValet: MJ ValetVenue: Dock 5 at Union Market
