Street Style: Dr. Eleni Boosalis
It brings me great pleasure to introduce my fabulous business partner, Dr. Eleni Boosalis. In 2018, Eleni and I co-founded Del Ray Psych & Wellness, a holistic psychotherapy group practice, and the Wellness Junction, an integrated wellness center located in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria.
Despite going to graduate school together and frequenting similar establishments, Eleni and I did not cross life paths until we worked at the same group practice in Manassas, Virginia. I was immediately impressed with her warm smile and her authentic, compassionate, and easy-going nature. She is one of those genuine people who make you feel immediately at ease. We traveled professionally alongside each other for many years until a series of what we call divine opportunities arose for us to be where we are today.
While I am often the outward face of our business in the community, Eleni is the quieter powerhouse responsible for running our clinical training program and supervising residents and early career clinicians. She is dedicated to helping launch competent and compassionate clinicians into the world. Eleni is a respected, sought-after clinical trauma and hypnotherapist who employs a mind, body, and spirit approach to therapy. Moreover, she exudes quiet wisdom and understanding of life, which is evident in her interactions inside and outside of the therapy room.
Eleni is also the daughter of self-made Greek immigrants who are successful entrepreneurs. She has an innate sense of business, is passionate, and will strongly advocate for herself and others. However, her first and foremost priority is her family and raising her three beautiful children. Despite having a lot on her plate, Eleni has a special way of making everyone feel like they are a priority. Without further delay, I am pleased to introduce you to her in this column.
