The Sweetest Redesign Project
We're seeing pinks and reds everywhere these days, so to stay in theme, we thought we would highlight this beautiful custom redesign we worked on last year for the most thoughtful client.
Our client came to us with a matched ring/pendant set featuring oval rubies. The set had belonged to her mother - they had been given to her by our client's beloved maternal grandparents as a wedding gift. Our client had, in turn, received the pieces from her mother as a gift. She didn't love the original settings and wanted to create something different, so we discussed different options to reset the gemstones. We landed on the idea of creating two rings, each of which would use a single oval ruby, and our client decided to give one of the rings to her sister as a beautiful gift. I love that the rubies are slightly different shapes, so each sister gets her own unique ring, but they perfectly coordinate in every other way.
Our client updated us recently to report that she and her sister each wear their ruby rings nearly every day, which we are so thrilled to hear. Jewelry provides a lovely avenue to show a thoughtful approach to gift-giving, and we particularly appreciate this expression of sisterly love. How are you planning to show your love this year?
