Alexandria, VA: Where the Holidays Unfold Like a Hallmark Movie

As December descends upon Alexandria, Virginia, you can practically touch the festive magic in the air. Kicking off the holidays with the Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend, our town undergoes a magical transformation, turning into a winter wonderland that feels straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie.

Alexandria's favorite annual celebration – The Scottish Christmas Walk Parade returns on December 2nd! Brace yourselves for a festive spectacle as local businesses, organizations, and community groups (including yours truly, The Patterson Group) parade down the streets.

Make sure to look out for Santa closing the parade, playing his bagpipes and spreading joy to thousands of spectators. Here’s a map of the route. Throw on your tartan and we’ll see you there!

King Street is like our version of a Hallmark movie set. Shops are bedecked with wreaths and storefront windows resemble winter postcards. Our town doesn't just look good; it feels good, too. The sense of community is heartwarming, with neighbors and shop owners spreading holiday cheer. And oh, the waterfront—talk about a romantic setting! The Annual Holiday Boat Parade of Lights takes the magic of the holidays onto the Potomac River. With twinkling lights reflecting on the water, it's a scene that could melt the Grinch's heart. It's the perfect way to wrap up a day filled with festive delights.

So, if you're craving some holiday magic, don't bother turning on the TV. Just take a stroll through our town, where every day feels like you're in your favorite Christmas movie. Cheers to our very own Hallmark holiday haven! 🎄✨
