Alexandria’s Fall Festival Returns to River Farm This November

We are thrilled to partner with Alexandria Living Magazine this year in hosting the second annual 2023 Alexandria Fall Festival. This family favorite event returns to River Farm on Sunday, November 5 from 11 am to 4 pm. Festival-goers can expect exciting attractions this year, with additional food trucks, pony rides, magic shows, a beer garden, bounce houses and more! 

A lineup of local culinary favorites will be in attendance including:

Look forward to all your fall favorites — from kettle corn and hot chocolate to apple treats and much more. There will be plenty of family-friendly fun at River Farm — two magic shows from The Great Zucchini, caricature drawings from Capital Artworks, face painting from Sunrise Face Painting, pony rides and petting zoo from Mary's Go Round Petting Zoo, Big Country Amusements bounce houses, Something Vintage lawn games and more! Relax overlooking the Potomac River sitting in Adirondack chairs provided by Posh and Luxe.

Plus, families can take advantage of the beautiful fall scenery at River Farm and schedule a family portrait session with Lauren Vanni Photography. Sessions must be booked in advance and can be purchased via this link. 

River Farm is the home of the American Horticultural Society, located at 7931 E. Boulevard Dr. in Alexandria. The estate, which sits on 25 acres along the banks of the Potomac River, was once part of land owned by George Washington.

Born, raised, and bred in Alexandria, VA, Britt Patterson is a true product of the great state of Virginia. Britt attended Waynewood Elementary (Class of ’96), Carl Sandburg Middle School (Class of ’98) , and West Potomac High School (Class of ’02), she then went on to attend Virginia Tech (go Hokies!) where she majored in Business Marketing and Minored in Real Estate. Britt “officially” joined the family business as a licensed Realtor in 2008 after two years of working the political fundraising field and prides herself on her Alexandria real estate knowledge, alongside her integrity, loyalty, and professionalism as an agent and Vice President for the family business.
