Old Dominion Bocce is Back & You’re Invited

Get ready to roll into a day of fun, philanthropy, and fantastic competition as the ALX Women’s Group (AWG) proudly presents our inaugural event in partnership with Old Dominion Bocce! On Saturday, October 14th, join us for a day of bocce, music, an open bar, and fabulous cuisine, all served with a side of community spirit. As we gather for this exciting occasion, we're not just playing for points – we're playing for a purpose. Together, we're shining a light on the lives of children in need, as we support the incredible work of SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now).

I am excited to join seven other Alexandria women in creating AWG. Our organization's mission is to "give light to those in need" by hosting innovative events and donating the revenue from these events to a nonprofit in need of support selected by the group. This upcoming partnership with Old Dominion Bocce will be our group's inaugural event, an opportunity to introduce our passion and mission to the community. The tournament will support SCAN, an impactful organization doing crucial work in our community. SCAN's focus is on stopping child abuse in Northern Virginia by prioritizing the child's well-being and having a deep understanding of the complexity of child development, abuse, and trauma.

Old Dominion Bocce was founded in 2018 with a simple goal: to have great times for a great cause. From growing up in the Old Dominion to spending nine years working with the World Beach Bocce Championship in San Diego, and then returning to Virginia, Old Dominion Bocce has been chasing the pallino with family and friends for years. This year's bocce tournament is open to teams of all skill levels, with games starting at 2 pm for those competing and our evening event kicking off at 4:30 pm. Spectators are welcome to enjoy the tournament throughout the afternoon.

Secure your tickets now to join us at this extraordinary event with us. By purchasing a ticket, you're not only in for a fantastic time but also contributing to a brighter future for children in our community through SCAN. So, let's roll together, both on the bocce courts and in making a positive impact. Get your tickets today!
