Unpacking a Swoon-worthy Haul for your Thanksgiving Tablescape

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, and not just because the flowers are killer this time of year. I love Thanksgiving for the tradition, too. In our family, Thanksgiving has always meant gathering family from all over the East coast. Both of my parents are from up North – New Jersey and Connecticut, and my in-laws are from NYC. It’s a loud, crazy holiday filled with food, football on the TV, and a year’s long tradition of beautiful tablescaping.

It goes without saying that table styling is serious business in my house. And, as evidenced by the overwhelming number of orders Helen Olivia gets from our Stylebook community each year, I know that it’s serious business in your homes, too. One of the things I love most about Alexandria is how much we all love a holiday and decorating.

On this year’s buying trip to Atlanta, I was on the lookout for all sorts of new tabletop décor items, many of which are transitional from Thanksgiving to Christmas. So many treasures were found. In particular, I’m loving the new place card holder sets and bud vase collections that we just launched on our website. They’re such a fun way to add a bit of whimsy to a holiday tablescape. And yes, the squirrel candle holders are back for another year, along with a few new styles too.

For floral, we have three gorgeous color palettes on the website in about a dozen different sizes and configurations ranging from bud vases to floral cornucopias to extra-long centerpieces. So many of our clients mix and match, and all of the floral pieces really are versatile for different table shapes and hosting styles.

Thanksgiving Workshops

For any of you who have the itch to design something yourself, we welcome you to join us for one of three Thanksgiving workshops this year: two in studio and one virtual. Not a DIY-er? Same day delivery of our whole collection will be available up until the day before Thanksgiving.

As a funny Thanksgiving aside, when looking for photos for this year’s article, I was reminded of my holiday hiccup from last year that I had to share.  Like most years, I was slated to host the whole family for Thanksgiving and had to cancel the morning of when my husband and both kids came down with strep throat. Somehow, I managed to be the only healthy person in my house, and wound up eating solo at the fanciest table—in my pajamas!

Wishing you all the happiest of Holidays filled with friends and family.
