Westman Atelier Launches A New Highlighter…and It’s Awesome
It’s pretty obvious by now that I’m mildly obsessed with Gucci Westman. Okay, maybe a little more than mildly. I have pared my personal makeup routine down to almost exclusively her line and just when I think I couldn’t possibly need anything else she comes up with another must have product. This newest launch is no exception. Her highlighter Peau de Peche is my summertime staple. The warmest peachy-bronze highlight gives a healthy sun kissed glow that I now equate with backyard barbecues, chilled white wine, and strappy dresses. So much so, that I pack it away as soon as the first chill hits. When I learned that she had added a new highlighter I figured I didn’t need it. I had her Lit Up highlight stick which is universally flattering and the Peau de Peche for that bronzed glow look I crave in warmer months; I didn’t need the new highlighter. Except…it turns out I did. As with all new launches, I first got a teaser email. “Gucci introduces Peau de Rose exclusively to her website and then on to Bellacara in a few weeks.” Attached to this email was an image of the product. It looked lovely. I was sure people would love it. I pre-ordered 12. I mean we are in quarantine. How many could I possibly sell? Two weeks later the sample product arrived so I could play with the product and I immediately knew, quarantine or no quarantine, I had under-ordered. The color was absolutely gorgeous. The softest pink with a beautiful pearly highlight. Layered over my Minette blush stick, worn alone when I want a hint of color, buffed on top of my Peau de Peche for a hint of pink over the bronze, it has quickly become a staple in my daily routine, and I have only had it a week. Sadly, my next order will not arrive for at least another week, so the 12 I have are all I have for the moment. Lately, shipping times have doubled, tripled, and sometimes even quadrupled. It has been difficult getting product. As a result, I have kept the product quietly in a drawer so that you (our fabulous Stylebook readers) will get first shot at them. Trust me, you want one.
