What We’re Loving: Fall Nail Colors
With chlorine, sun and salt water no longer wreaking havoc on our manicures, we’re all in for rocking some new nail looks this fall. Our hands are an extension of our daily look/vibe/mood and keep us feeling polished (pun intended) during the fall madness. While we’ve been out and about in Old Town, we couldn’t help but notice the vast range of shades and styles displayed on our friends’ hands. So we asked our contributors to share the fall hues they’re loving; see if any of these shades may work for you!
Ally, Old Town Books: I’m loving my velvet green nails! I got them done at Nothing In Between.
Maria Elizabeth, Salon deZEN: I’m rocking this stunning metallic mauve with a subtle shimmer—perfect for autumn vibes!
Kristen, Women’s Therapy & Wellness: I opted for a "spooky season" look and picked a black french tip with white underline, and a spiderweb on my ring finger!
Katelin, Family First Law: I am rocking a neon yellow! It doesn't quite look neon yellow by day, and is a lovely transition color to fall, but the real reason I got it was so that it would glow under the black lights for Universal Studios Halloween Horror. Bonus, it also glows during my spin classes!
Danielle, fibre space: I’m loving the new cat eye polishes at Salon Meraki!
Adrien, Adrien Cotton Wellness: Max and nails!! Love my blues and purples, so I combine them in this liquid gel.
Kait, Renée C. Gage Photography: I'm loving OPI Black Onyx right now. It's a great transition into my fall wardrobe and I was actually influenced by Ali (ALH Style) to go bold!
Rachel, Helen Olivia: My fall pick is OPI Krona-logical order.
Samantha, American in Paris: I’m obsessed with cat eye/velvet manicures— they feel especially apropos as we settle into October. This shade MG05 from the newly-opened Nothing In Between Studio feels perfect for a shorter nail while still capturing the magic of fall. It was applied and then magnetized to create a cat eye/velvety effect!
Lauren, XML Financial: It’s not a great photo—and not actually a good photo of the color!— but I’ve been rocking Bogota Blackberry (OPI) for the start of fall. It’s a great wine red with a nice pearl finish. Taupeless Beach is my go-to fall color though, the perfect medium taupe-gray.
Rainbow, Alexandria Stylebook: I was on a GelX nudish/light pink nail kick all summer, honestly just because it lasted longer (about 3 weeks), but now I’m slowly bringing back the color. I’ve started with a deeper red like Lauren—but the green Ally is showing and the orange Danielle is rocking, is making me want to be more adventurous in the nail dept.!
