What You Should (and Shouldn't) Do With Your Hair

We hope everyone is staying healthy and we're sending love and support from all of us at Bazzak. We're happy to see so many other Stylebook authors focusing on self-care and the small things we can do to get through this challenging time. We realize that a trip to the salon can be a nice respite from the usual hustle and bustle and we look forward to getting back to making you look your best. We've had several clients ask about things they can do with their hair until we can see them in person. The first rule of thumb is that taking your hair into your own hands will most likely not make the situation better. One of the benefits of physical distancing is that very few people will see us out and about and staying home as much as possible will help keep our loved ones, friends, and community as healthy as possible. We know grey roots and split ends are not something we want at any time, but we recommend using this time to experiment with new styles and looks. A lot of celebrities have taken to social media to discuss how they are handling their hair during the shutdowns as well. Many of them have expressed they are trying not to focus so much on their color while others have found cool ways to wear cute head bands, scarfs, or messy buns.    This time can also be used to catch up on treatments to keep your hair healthy like the deep conditioner that is sitting in the back of your cabinet or even a mask. These products can be found at your local salon or online. For anyone with thick, curly hair this is a great time to use oil treatments in addition to a hair mask. We recommend oils like jojoba, argan, almond, and sunflower which have 100 percent purity. We're happy to make recommendations on any oils and products to use while we are closed. Just send us a message through our website!   We're trying to stay creative during this shutdown and have been mixing bowls of color that our clients can take home and apply to their roots around the hair line and part area. This option is solely for clients who need gray coverage and will need to be applied quickly after we give it to you, but it's an option to tide you over until we can sit down in person. Contact your stylist for more information. As always, thank you for reading. Stay safe and healthy and we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can!
