Will We See You Under The Boxwood Tent?

Calling all art lovers! It's time for another fabulous Art Walk through Old Town, and we look forward to seeing our many creative friends! Hosting local artists and encouraging creativity Under the Boxwood Tent has become one of our favorite ways to inspire and interact with our community. We hope you'll join us this Thursday, July 21, for another fabulous night of inspiration and artistry during the Art Walk.

The Old Town Business Association's Art Walk is a six-month program exploring the fine arts and studio crafts throughout the galleries and boutiques of Old Town. Hosted on the third Thursday of the month, businesses throughout town encourage visitors to embark on the self-guided tour that offers exhibits, wine tastings, art classes, seminars, and DIY activities.

This Thursday, we are so excited to welcome four fabulous vendors to spend time with us under the Boxwood tent. We will have mixologist extraordinaire Sam Kasten of Umbrella Dry Drinks, a concept to provide sophisticated nonalcoholic options for those who wish to stay dry! Umbrella Dry Drinks is a nonalcoholic bar and bottle shop operating in pop-up mode around the DMV area. We are also excited to introduce a talented artist and friend of the store, Gayle Palmer, showcasing her contemporary works in acrylic and molding clay. She describes herself as a "newly inspired quarantine-trained artist," although she has been influenced for many years by a family of artists and has a background in design and merchandising.

We will also be joined by Cris Logan Art, a local illustrator who captures energetic illustrations and portraits. Her illustrations are vibrant and colorful prints of local businesses, fashion scenes, favorite townhomes, and more. Cris has worked with brands including Christian Dior, Tod's, I. Gorman Jewelers, Bloomingdales, Illesteva, the Washingtonian, The Washington Post, and more. We're thrilled to host her at Boxwood during the Art Walk!

We invite you to add some natural beauty to your life with a pick-up bouquet from Lily's Flower Truck, also joining us this Thursday. Named after owner Catherine Soltesz's dog Lily and her favorite flower, Lily's Flower Truck is filled with fresh blooms to create your own beautiful bouquet. Serving anyone and everyone, Lily's Flower Truck is especially perfect for those looking to add a fresh touch of natural beauty to their lives, and a portion of profits is donated to local animal shelters.
