Add A Little Touch Of Class

I don’t know about you, but I always love when something is personalized and I’m not even sure why! I remember when my dad would go to work (he always wore a suit) and I always thought it was so cool that he had his monogram on the cuff of his shirt sleeve. It just added that little extra touch of class, I think.

My affinity for monograms is not just limited to shirt sleeves, however. The only piece of jewelry I wear daily is a necklace of my kids' initials. I even had my kids’ sports numbers stitched onto shirts to wear to their games. Personalization makes my clothing feel more personal.

Monogramming or personalization is also the perfect way to make a gift a little more meaningful. It’s a sign that you gave a little bit of extra effort that goes a long way.

The Shoe Hive, The Hive, Bishop Boutique, and Monday’s Child are teaming up for a monogramming weekend! Each store has its own promotion or event happening to help you get an early start on your holiday shopping – for others or even yourself! There will be monogramming on Wearcisco shirts at The Hive (you have to order them), a discount on initial notepads at The Shoe Hive, special five dollar monograms for Christmas pajamas at Monday’s Child, and a not-to-be-missed purse event at Bishop Boutique. Bishop Boutique will have a designer customizable Tiana New York samples in store – the gift for the girl who has everything.

I haven’t even mentioned the best part of this weekend event. We are giving one lucky winner one of the items from each store! You can enter to win a Wearcisco shirt with a monogram from The Hive, a pad of Black Inc. initial paper from The Shoe Hive, a customized purse of your choice at Bishop Boutique (value of $200), and a set of monogrammed Christmas pajamas at Monday's Child ($150 value). To enter, just stop in one of the stores and fill out one form. The total value of this giveaway is more than $700!

Events begin at each store Thursday, November 3 and last until Saturday, November 5.

We can’t wait to see everyone and help you get an early start on that holiday shopping list.

Owner | The Hive and The Shoe Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
