It’s difficult for me to pick favorites; honestly, there isn’t much from Tibi that I don’t love or own. I have been making an effort to order less Tibi for myself because my closet is a little out of control. I have failed this spring at doing so—I always joke that I am not a very good quitter—so I thought I would highlight some of my favorites.

Last fall, we introduced Tanya Taylor to The Hive and kicked off our partnership with a trunk show. It was a huge success. When I asked our sales representative if we could also host a spring show, not only did she agree, but she helped me out by reserving a great selection to send us before it sold out.

In an industry that constantly reinvents itself, Debbie Bates-Schrott’s legacy isn’t just the agencies she built or the campaigns she led. It’s the relationships she nurtured, the risks she took that paid off, and the confidence that even when someone tells you it won’t work – you can prove them wrong. And Debbie has done just that.

We edited our shoe selection down to our favorites and hope our customers agree. Two shoe lines that have surprised us with their popularity are Rachel Comey and Ann Mashburn. Rachel Comey knows how to do a cog, and this spring we picked two of their newer styles along with a great pump that literally goes with everything.

It is time for our first shoe event of the year, which is fitting because AGL is the first event we ever hosted at the store. I have mentioned before that AGL is the only brand we have in store that was on our shelves when we opened in 2003. I have a special attachment to this company and from March 26th-29th, it’s all 20% off.

Walking through the store the other day, I realized just how strong our current denim shirt lineup is. I have been a champion and advocate for the Virginia wine industry long before I opened my own retail wine shop. I remember my first few visits to Virginia wineries back in the mid-2000s, and it made me wonder why no one was talking about this wine country at all. Fast forward to 2026 and the word is out — loud and clear — this region is one to experience and behold.

We just wrapped up our Veronica Beard Trunk Show, and it was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us. Now it’s time for Ulla Johnson. Nothing says spring more than Ulla Johnson, and this season doesn’t disappoint. It might actually be my favorite since we started carrying the line.

Once again, I thought it would be fun to see what everyone at The Hive was looking to purchase from the Ulla Johnson spring collection and trunk show. I always ask my sales representatives, “What is on your personal order?” As a result, I’m sure our clients would like to know what was on ours.

I finally got the original dream team back together. Tayo, Courtney and Megan once again took time out of their busy schedules to help showcase some of the beautiful looks we have for Veronica Beard. Veronica isn’t just for work. Their jackets paired with denim are the perfect weekend look and have perfected the elevated t-shirt.

If you’ve ever owned a signature scent, hunted one down, or caught a fleeting trace and still regret not asking what it was, you know that a great scent lingers in memory long after it fades from skin. That identity defining and time-stopping relationship with scent is what drives Arielle Weinberg and Katri Haas, co-owners of the perfume playground, Arielle Shoshana.

This spring’s show is one of the best yet. There are some brands that, after a few years (okay, a decade) of seeing them, feel like their collections are on repeat — but I never feel that way with Ulla Johnson. Yes, there are always beautiful florals, which you simply can’t go wrong with, but her shapes and fabrics change every season, and there’s always something new and exciting. 

When I go to market, I always ask my sales representatives what they are personally buying from the collection they sell. In the retail world, we call it “our personals.” I find it enlightening to learn what the people most familiar with a product think is so good that they can’t live without it. In that same spirit, I thought our customers might like to know what’s on our shopping list from the Veronica Beard Trunk Show.

Next week, we are hosting our 10th Veronica Beard Trunk Show, and it is still the most anticipated event of the year. Throughout the years, the brand has continued to be a wonderful partner, sending us beautiful pieces and a member of their sales team to help our customers learn about the fit and assist with ordering from the spring collection.
