Back Into Society, We Go!

Follow the yellow brick road! If this past year wasn’t Wizard of Oz enough - we are finally, actually, seeing the light at the end of the road. When I was looking at my social calendar for June, I thought, “alrighty!” I have some things to do, people to see, gifts to buy…! (Followed with some profanities) I am pretty happy about it, but there is a part of me that feels like it just came out of nowhere. But, it’s good for all of us. People are out, needing to shop for events and places to go. It makes me happy to get back into the swing of things. I will admit, I missed people! Attending backyard BBQs, baby and wedding showers, and intimate wine dinners. It’s the social connections that make our community the wonderful and supportive place it is, and while I would pick staying at home on any given Friday night pre-covid, if a friend is hosting a little get-together, I’ll do my best to be there post-covid!So, back to the part where I tell you what’s new in our stores - we have some fabulous little gifts for any and all events this summer. I usually like to keep a stack of candles on hand for any last-minute invitations or gatherings, and while I love a good candle, sometimes going the extra mile can make a thoughtful hostess gift that they will use time and time again. Sign me up!  Our Reversible Chinoiserie Chic Acrylic Trays are BPA-free and feature handles and a bottom slot with a laminated reversible insert. Choose from a classic coordinated stripe or other art, and you can even leave it empty for a see-through look. Available in two sizes, 8.5x11 for $65, and 12x12 for $105.  Have you ever Received a candle you didn’t like? I have yet too. While the idea of getting a candle as a gift can be albeit boring, it’s always a safe option that is sure to be enjoyed. Lagoon Soy Wax Candle, $32.  Don’t forget to get yourself ready! I’m loving this set from laude the label. It is soft and can be worn together or separately. It makes getting ready easy. All you need is a sneaker or our Mystique flip-flops for a perfect outdoor cookout look. If white isn’t your jam, come in and try the set in black! Top is $98, and pants are $148.  With Memorial Day weekend here, let’s celebrate our troops and the unofficial start to summer. Starting today through Monday, the more you spend, the more you save! Come see us and stock up for all the impromptu or planned events that are sure to be coming your way this summer. See you around town!
