Bittersweet Designs is Back
Many years ago, Kiskadee carried a line of jewelry called Bittersweet Designs. Several employees own pieces and I have to admit, it’s stunning. Over the last few years, we’ve had requests from customers to carry it again and the Kiskadee ladies wanted it back too. I’ve been ogling the website for a while now, trying to figure out which pieces to bring in. Given the price point, it’s something that I’d rather pick out in person. I quickly discovered that the designer is out of Santa Fe, NM so I figured the next time I’m home to visit family, I would stop in. That’s just what I did a few weeks ago in August. My grandmother lives in Farmington, NM. So, after I visited her, I made a quick detour to Santa Fe on my way to the airport in Albuquerque.Going to the studio was beyond amazing. I wanted every single thing I saw. Out of all of the jewelry we’ve ever carried in my short three years, this is by far my favorite line. All of her jewelry is handmade in the Santa Fe Studio. She is inspired by nature and wants to empower women everywhere to express their stylish, ethereal spirit. Bittersweet jewelry can be built layer upon layer or worn alone.I was so overwhelmed with all of the pretty things that I asked the designer and owner, Laurie Lenfestey, to put a story together for me. I’m not going to lie… it was very tempting to keep half of it for myself. But alas, I can’t! Here is a small sampling of the gorgeous pieces we have in store. Stop in to see the rest.
