Celebrate Life With Color This Season
Summer has arrived, and besides thinking about sunny beach vacations and sweet memories made with family and friends, house projects are also on our minds. I have two pine side tables in my guest room and an authentic aged rustic console I received from my grandmother many years ago. And this summer, I am looking forward to giving these pieces a “brand new life” with the easy-to-use Chalk Paint®. We are all about color at Boxwood, and that is why we brought in - and are proud stockists of - Annie Sloan® Chalk Paint®. There are 42 colors in the Chalk Paint palette, all inspired by Annie Sloan’s knowledge of fine art, her experience as a color expert, and some of the most beautiful interiors around the globe.
What we love most about Chalk Paint® is that it is easy to use, versatile furniture paint that requires no need for sanding or priming. You simply pop open the tin, roll up your sleeves, dip in your brush and apply paint to the furniture! It’s that easy! Our workshop schedule has kicked off for the season, and I love to see how our Annie Sloan® Chalk Paints® are used in your homes - from small arts and crafts to large scale projects, Annie Sloan® Chalk Paint® can transform a piece into something truly unique.
This summer, we hope you’ll join us for an Annie Sloan craft under the Boxwood Tent during the Old Town Art Walk, happening at participating boutiques and stores throughout Old Town from 5pm - 8pm on June 19. We’re excited to share with attendees how to use Annie Sloan gold or silver wax on a frame to create a memorable and special Father’s Day gift for dad. Explore our full workshop schedule and find something to spark your creativity this summer at Boxwood. You never know what you can create - let us help you make it!
Sharing in the process of creating something special from something ordinary is a joy we are always so grateful to be part of. So, for those two pine bedside tables in my guest room and the authentic aged rustic console I received from my grandmother, it’s summertime, and I’m ready for my painting projects. What might you have that’s ready for a refresh?
