Old Town Spirit!
I've said it before, and here it is again: one of the reasons Alexandria is such a special place is because of the collaborative and supportive energy that makes our community so unique and our historic town - with cobblestone streets - even more charming. It's amazing how eager our small businesses are to work together and promote each other when they could be busy competing against one another. Despite my complaints about the renovations my house built in 1780 needs… I truly love living in Old Town and having my kids grow up in Alexandria like my husband Patrick and I did. We simply love our town!
I was the Pep and Spirit leader when I went to Georgetown Visitation (Gold Team Victory!), and I've always had a passion and enthusiasm for team spirit. If you know me, you know I love flair. I love merch, I love costumes, I love themes, I love personalized swag. And I love t-shirts. For a long time, I've wanted to make an Old Town t-shirt so we can proudly show the world how much we love and support our incredible town. I'm so excited that the time has now come!
Monday's Child is partnering with Barre3 and launching an "Old Town" t-shirt! Super soft and a little bit retro (a nod to Monday's Child opening in the 80s?). We've designed two color schemes in both adult and children's sizes, and we hope you will become as obsessed with them as we are! What better way to show our Old Town team spirit than wearing it around town and beyond?!
To kick off the collaboration and after having had such a blast at Goodies Frozen Custard and Treats last month, we thought it would be fun to celebrate summer with a Barre3 mommy and me class at Goodies, followed by the best sundaes in Old Town. Milk Shakes to reward those Barre3 muscle "shakes."
Join us this Sunday, June 12, in the Goodies lot at 4:00 pm for a 30-minute Barre3 class with your kids. We'll be raffling off fun prizes, giving away coupons (25 percent off your next Monday's Child purchase!), and selling our new Old Town t-shirts. If you can't make the class or don't have kids, no worries, we'll be there from 4:00pm - 5:30pm and would love to have you join us.
