Even though I own a shoe store with lots of great brands, I personally tend to only buy a few shoes each season and then wear them all the time. This trend has increased as I’ve gotten older, to a point whereby at the end of the season, they need to take a trip to Old Town Luggage and Shoe Repair so they can live to see another season. Besides all the sneakers in my closet, the two brands I wear the most are AGL and Marion Parke. There is a reason for this: they are the most comfortable, and they are also beautiful. 

There is a difference between shoes made in Italy and shoes made anywhere else on the globe; it just can’t be denied. And, when you stand on your feet all day at work as I do, you really need good shoes. I remember when I first opened the shoe shop in 2003 over on Royal Street, another store owner came over and said, “You know, retail will ruin your feet.” At that time, I found the comment ironic since I had just opened a shoe store. Now I understand it - and it’s why I buy a lot of AGL and Marion Parke.

So, I am happy to announce that once again, Marion Parke will kick off our Fall Trunk Show Series. Once again, they will be shipping our shoes to show just for the weekend, and you can special order colors of styles we have in stock. There are so many great options this fall. Her line once focused on heels and pumps, but now she offers so many great flats and lower heels, which is exactly what I wear.
