Easy Ways to Refresh Your Look

Working from home can have its benefits, but having to endure a day of Zoom calls isn't usually one of them. One way to keep those days at the home office new and interesting is trying some different looks. After all, a new do is better than looking as if we have completely given up! Today, we're going to go over a few easy and different styles that will have you looking put together for any occasion. This is a go-to for some of us already, but the classic "top knot bun" is sleek and polished. It's a style best suited for those with longer hair where you pull all of your hair to the top of your head and wrap a hair tie around roughly three times. After your hair is in a ponytail, take the hair and wrap it around making a sleek bun.

Don't let the seemingly uninspired name fool you, but the "half-up, half-down" style is versatile and works well with bows, beads, hair jewelry, etc. All you need to do is pull some hair to the top of your head and create a bun or ponytail similar to the top knot, except for leaving hair out in the back. Leaving a few pieces of hair out in the front around the face gives the look a chicer appearance.

Next up, the "low bun." It is universally flattering and is a personal favorite of mine. The low bun tends to look very professional, but with a middle or side part, it can look edgy as well. Gather all your hair to the nape of your neck and tie your hair tie until you have a ponytail. Then wrap your ponytail around the hair tie creating a bun.

It is summer, so the "beach wave" is a classic, fun style but also relatively easy and will have your colleagues thinking you just got out of the salon chair. It requires either a flat iron or curling iron or wand. If you are using a flat iron, you will place the hair in the flat iron going away from your face on either side and as you turn the flat iron, pull downward - this will create a ribbon curl. It's not too hard to pull off once you get the hang of it, and it can also be accessorized easily as well.We hope you are able to try out some of these new styles the next time you are looking to switch things up with your hair. Please continue to stay safe and we hope to see you soon at the salon!
