Elizabeth’s Top 5 Veronica Beard Fall Trunk Show Picks

When I am at market, I always ask my reps, “What is on your personal order?” I figure that is the best way to figure out what will be the popular items of the season. I mean, if the people who work there want it, then it must be good. Nobody knows a collection like the people that see it day in and day out.

I thought I would share what my personal order would be for Veronica Beard if money were no object. And I should note, I could easily add any of the leather and suede items to the list, but I tried to keep it reasonable.

1) Stryder Dickey Coat in Oyster Melange

Nobody does a winter coat like Veronica Beard. I know they are known for blazers, but really, their coats are their best things. This one is the perfect length; sometimes dressier coats can be too long, and I think it works for dressier items and just as well with jeans. Of course, it has the removable dickey as well, which is perfect for travel and, as a result, no need to worry about losing a scarf.

2) Frankie Pullover with Pearl Pin in Medium Heather Grey

Okay, this isn't a very “me” sweater, but it was one of my favorites. I love the brooch trend that is happening right now, and if you are like me and like it but may never actually do it, this sweater does it for you.

3) Whitlock Pant in Black

Someone the other day asked me if barrel-leg pants are still in style. My answer is yes, they are in style, and they will always be in style if you love them. I personally love the shape and the interest it gives an outfit and will for sure be purchasing these pants.

4) The Callisian Skirt in Bark

I do not know why I did not place a personal order for this, and I am hoping my rep pulls through and gets one for me on the side. I just think this skirt is perfect. I love a pencil skirt or straight skirt, and then the suede, pockets, and buttons make it so perfect.

5) Darlis Blouse in Dove

This reminds me of the blouses my mom wore in the late '70s. It’s funny; I remember her wearing one with a suede skirt really similar to the one above. Maybe that is why I am drawn to both items. You just can’t go wrong with a great silk top in your wardrobe.
