My Newest Obsession: CALL IT BY YOUR NAME
Sometimes it takes me a few visits to a showroom before I place an order. When you're picking up a new line, it can be intimidating as a buyer.
When I left Simon Showroom last spring, I couldn't stop thinking about CALL IT BY YOUR NAME, a line from France that they were showing. It had appeared on Emily in Paris, and I think some other famous people had been carrying the bags as well. I loved them, but I just wasn't sure. Of course, after that, I kept seeing them on influencers and on the streets of NYC. I found myself oddly drawn to the bags. The next time I visited the showroom, I decided to go for it.
There was just something about the line that made me smile. I mean, they even had happy faces on some of the bags. I decided to start with their top sellers, the Picnic Bag and the Weekend Bag. Then I loaded up on accessories, which are perfect for gifting. They have the cutest makeup bags, bag charms, and of course, bandanas. Anything with a bandana print is having a moment.
The line started in Paris during COVID when the founder, Colombe Campana, a 20-year veteran of the fashion industry, began embroidering bandanas for her friends. They caught on, and as they say, the rest is history. She uses authentic bandanas from the last bandana factory in South Carolina and vintage bandanas for one-of-a-kind bags. All of the embroidery is done in Europe, the clothing is constructed in Paris, and the accessories are made in either Poland or France.
I haven't ordered the clothing yet, but it is very tempting. They also launched a home collection with the most adorable placemats I have ever seen.
I hope you love this line as much as I do. It truly just makes me happy.
