My Top 10 Fall Finds I Can’t Live Without – Now on Sale

I am sure your inbox is full of emails about sales. It seems like Black Friday deals started at Halloween and now winter sales are already in full force. It is time for The Shoe Hive and The Hive to join in. Our fall merchandise sale has kicked off, and the markdown is bigger than ever. We usually start at 30% off, but this year we’re starting at 40% because it is time to make room for spring and we’re ready. You can shop in person or online, and there’s no code needed. We have so many great deals on our biggest brands like Tibi, Veronica Beard, Ulla Johnson and Rachel Comey. Shop early because things will go quickly.

I wanted to share some of my favorite items on sale. These are all pieces I have in my closet at home. I mean, of course I bought more than 10 things this fall, but these are the ones that I am glad I didn’t miss out on.

  1. Donna Jacket by Veronica Beard
I had a coat just like this in the 80s—only it was Levi’s. I wish I still owned it, but this is a great replacement. I wore it to evening football games and it kept me warm.

  2. Lug Sole Loafer by Ann Mashburn
I have horrible feet and these are one of the few pairs I can wear all day at the store. I think it’s the lug sole that makes standing all day a breeze. I love the leopard, but solid colors are still available as well.

  3. Derrick Men’s Trousers by Tibi
These are the most flattering and comfortable pants I have ever owned. When I wear them, I get asked about them, and I even ordered another color. I can’t say enough good things about these pants and I literally don’t think we have sold a single pair. They are the best and can be dressed up or down. Everyone is missing out.

  4. My Maria in Beetle
TWP does this shirt every season in different colors and fabrications—which means it’s a great shirt. I love the neckline and the neutral shade goes with everything.

  5. Axel Long Sleeve Top and Real High Waisted Midi Skirt by Ulla Johnson
This was a favorite from the fall Ulla Johnson trunk show. I love a set, especially one made from a sweatshirt-like material. It’s great for travel because it doesn’t wrinkle and you can separate the pieces for multiple looks.

  6. Structured Viscose Neck Dolman Sleeve Top by Tibi
I’ll admit: when I unpacked my special order of this top, I wasn’t sure I needed it or would wear it. Turns out, I live in it. Maybe it’s because we’ve had a really cold fall and start to winter, but I can’t get enough of this top. I love the structure, and when you roll the sleeves up there’s a contrasting gray layer underneath. I promise you won’t regret this purchase.

  7. Techy Bonded Wool Wrap Maxi Skirt
This is going to be a cold winter, and this is the perfect skirt to get you through it. Pair it with a black turtleneck and boots for an easy, polished look.

  8. Bella by TWP
I do not know why these pants are still here. They are the coolest pants we had this fall. You’ll want to size up, but you can wear them 12 months a year.

  9. Adria Pleated Wave Pochette by Ulla Johnson
If you need a gift for someone who is hard to shop for, get them this Ulla Johnson purse—or really any Ulla purse. Everyone loves them, no matter their personal style.

  10. Stevie Sneaker by Rachel Comey
I always wear sneakers, and these became one of my favorite pairs this fall. The color might seem like it isn’t a great neutral, but I wore them with everything.

Owner | The Shoe Hive/The Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
