Transitional Ulla Johnson Pieces to Take Your Wardrobe Through Multiple Seasons
This year is proving that once again the “transition” season deliveries are the best deliveries. They always include pieces with the most "shelf life," as I like to say, meaning they’re items that can be worn at different times of the year. The Ulla Johnson delivery we just unpacked is a perfect example. Every piece can be worn right now, but can also take you into spring and even summer.
Take the Amiko skirt and matching Celina top; you can wear that combo to a black-tie or cocktail party any time of the year, but they’re also incredibly versatile. You can pair the top with pants or jeans, and it’ll look just as chic. In the winter, you might throw a jacket over it, but in the summer you would wear it with a linen pant or silk skirt. You may not take this one to the beach, but there are countless occasions where it will shine. The skirt is just as flexible; style it with a chunky knit sweater for a holiday gathering, or a white tank and sandals when the weather warms up.
The same goes for most of the other dresses in this collection. The Estella Multicolor dress, for instance, is made from a light knit that may not be right for the middle of summer, but for the other nine months, is perfect.
My favorite piece in this delivery is the leather floral appliqué top. This one’s a true showstopper. It’s not meant for summer, but from the first crisp days of fall through early spring, it’s perfection. I’m absolutely buying it, even if I have no idea where I’m wearing it yet. I was chatting with Halima at Ulla Johnson, and she told me it was the sample everyone in the showroom wanted to wear. Photos don’t do it justice, you really have to see it in person.
So if you’re looking for a new dress for an event or just something fresh for work, stop by and see the newest Ulla Johnson arrivals. It’s one of my favorite deliveries yet, and I hope you’ll love it just as much as I do
