Empowering Local Powerful Women
Every year as the month of March approaches, we are reminded of the strong and influential women in our lives. Whether it is the women who shape us or those we hold in our hearts, we are given the opportunity to reflect on their incredible impact and importance to us.
Our appreciation and gratitude extend beyond one month, but March truly presents a special period of time to lift these women up and express what they mean to us. At Boxwood, we knew this month was the perfect opportunity to spotlight a variety of women in our local community: women who inspire us, women who guide us, and women who are paving the way for the next generation of determined girls. We have invited a select group of women who have not only inspired Boxwood - but have also played monumental roles in our local community - to share their success and stories with you this month.
Throughout the month, you will discover a variety of products from local women makers in our shop, including zero-proof beverages from Umbrella Dry Drinks, handmade crayons from Cosmic Crayon, soothing bath essentials from White Lily Shoppe, candles with historical tidbits from Bashford & Pitt, unique concrete decor from Lykha, and handmade earrings from Made by Caylea.

We are very passionate about supporting local makers, but we also want to highlight women in our community who we believe are truly making a difference. So it is with great excitement that Boxwood presents our “Empowering Local Powerful Women” Speaker Series.
We invite you to spend Thursday evenings in March with us at Boxwood for an intimate experience spotlighting local change-making women. On March 10, join us for “She Wears Many Hats: The role of a working woman, in and outside of her career” - a powerful conversation of women who are fulfilling many different roles. Do you love Boxwood for its art and design? Our next event on March 24, entitled “Into the Woods: Women Who Inspire Boxwood’s Design and Art,” will be filled with inspiring women who are focused on aesthetic, design, and creativity. Are you beginning a new career or starting your own business? Don’t miss our final event on March 31: “Poised & Positioned: Young Women Entrepreneurs and Their Climb to Success,” featuring a panel of young women who are living a life of both purpose and passion.
